From the library of Dr.Garrett Fitzgerald,who was an Irish Fine Gael politician, economist, and barrister who served twice as Taoiseach, serving from 1981 to 1982 and 1982 to 1987. This book was presented to him on his visit to him on a visit to Carrick-On -Suir in 1987. The book bears the inscription: " To Dr.Garrett Fitzgerald from Carrick-On-Suir UDC (Urban District Council) on the occasion of his reception by the Coincil on the 20th January 1978, James Hogan, Chairman."
