Nick Alexander was born in 1964 in the United Kingdom, into a family of painters, and began to cultivate his passion for writing from childhood. He has lived and worked in England, the United States and France. His career as a self-published writer began in 2001. Although he had already achieved important sales successes, the 2010 publication of The Case of the Missing Boyfriend and his sequel The French House led him to sell more than 300,000 copies. The consecration came in 2015 with The Photographer's Wife and The Other Son, two plays that narrate familiar dramas and have been read by more than a million readers, a fact that makes Nick Alexander the third best-selling indie author in the UK. These successes have led to the translation of several of his works into various European languages. After a brief relationship with publishers who were interested in his previous books, in 2014 he returned to the world of self publishing, a process that is much more interesting and fun than the world of traditional publishing. He currently lives in the south of the French Alps with three elderly cats, a few fish, a very special ferret and the complete filmography of Pedro Almodóvar.
