Spine is leaning. Quarter bound with black cloth spine with cerulean blue lettering and cerulean boards. Heavy wear bottom edge, especially at spine. Top edge is faded from exposure to sun. Top fore-edge corner bruised. Top textblock edge is darkened. Three-inch x one-inch paper piece affixed to front free end page has Chester Himes signature in blue ink with blurry edged lettering from exposure to water above what appears to be typewriter lettered Chester Himes.
