Philip Ellaby Cleator, (1908â "1994), As a young office worker in the Liverpool area, Cleator was inspired by science fiction movies and news of the rocket societies, especially the American Interplanetary Society He founded the British Interplanetary Society in 1933 In 1936 he published the first book in Britain on the topic, Rockets Through Space: The Dawn of Interplanetary Travel He also wrote books on a wide variety of subjects, including archeology, history and science This copy is in black cloth with silver titles on the spine Spine ends are slightly bumped, but no other marks or damage The unclipped DJ has minor edge wear, but is otherwise very good Inscribed by the author on the ffep 224 pp. Seller Inventory # AA1988
