1938 FIRST PRINTING of First Edition. Original grey cloth with red lettering front & spine. WIth autographed by Merrick hand-written note presenting the book tipped-in on dedication page: "Dear Mr Devereux --- This is my version of the giant faces of the Bayon -- at Angkor. Keep the book if it may interest you. Sincerely Henrietta S. Merrick" The book is in superior condition with owner name (same as in Merrick's inscription) penned to FFFEP otherwise no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, clean covers, very slight wear at top of spine edge, tight binding, no foxing, sharp corners. The original dust jacket has small loss at tips of corners, 1cm loss top rear, price-clipped front flap corner. The book measures 221mm tall x 146mm, and has 272 pages, 29 b/w photos, map, index.
