A handsome first edition/first printing in unread Fine condition in Fine dust-jacket. Signed by author David Fulmer directly on the title page; When his father is killed in a car accident, Dave Fulmer is left to pick up the pieces. He moves to a small town in upstate New York and begins working at the family farm. Dave is an outcast in the town, but he befriends the youngest of the town's kids, Jimmy. Jimmy tells Dave about a legend of a devil who lives in the woods and can run faster than the wind. One day, Jimmy disappears and Dave begins to worry that the devil has taken him. Dave follows the devil's trail into the woods and discovers that Jimmy was not kidnapped, he was just running away. Dave is inspired to run his own race and becomes the fastest runner in the town.; 8vo; Signed by Author.
