First edition. Slim 8vo in brown cloth lettered in gilt. Inscribed on the front free endpaper: "Prof. G.W. Cook/ with bthe compliments/ of the Author/ Aug. 29, 1888". 98 pp. Peter T. Austen was an American educator who was Professor of General and Applied Chemistry at Rutgers at the time of publication. Fine, tight example with a trace of wear at the spine extremities.
