Slipcase with quarter cloth bound hardcover, 56 pages : illustrations, map, portraits (tipped in) ; 20 x 27 cm. A fine copy (#248) in a fine slipcase. "370 copies of this book have been printed, of which 350 are for sale. It was designed by Sebastian Carter, who printed the letterpress at the Rampant Lions Press, Cambridge, in 13pt Bembo on Zerkall mould-made paper; the drawings were printed by offset lithography by Adrian Lack at the Senecio Press, Charlbury; and the binding was by Weatherby Woolnough." written by Aidan Mackey to accompany sixteen hitherto unpublished pencil drawings by G. K. Chesterton ; with an introductory essay on Chesterton as artist by Richard Ingrams.

All books are complete, at least in good antiquarian condition and fully described as follows:

Mint = as new;
Very good = no major defects, no name on endpapers;
Good = minor defects, e.g. minor damages to spine and dustover, some browning and or foxing of the paper, name or library stamp on endpapers:, light creases etc.
Reasonable = clearly read and used copy: creases, underlining, damaged or faded spines, etc.

All conditional defects will be fully described. If in doubt about the condition of the book, please ask us by e-mail at info@antiquariaatdigitalis.nl. Scans of the books are always possible.
We will confirm the reservation for your payment. Current postage rates will be charged. Orders by advance payment only.
