Add to basket1st printing. Boards show some wear, rubbing, and toning; binding tight; pages clean; prior owner name on inside cover whited out. Autographed by Allstorm on front endpaper with 'Sincerely yours.' An early collection by the poet, published when he was 23 or 24. Allstorm's work was highly regarded for some years; in 1915, he composed the lyrics to the official song of the city of Houston. But if one googles his name now, what comes up are the vile anti-miscegenation poems he wrote that Klan-affiliated racist groups reprinted in the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. From a skim, the only hint I find here of his racism is one dialect piece that's more embarrassingly goofy than offensive. 124 pages.

Orders usually ship within three business days. I generally pack books in boxes, with padding, and unless they're unusually bulky or heavy -- more than four pounds or so -- I won't ask for additional shipping costs. For domestic media-mail buyers, anyway. Prices for international and even priority shipping can get *insane*.
