Item description from seller

Nancy Mitford (1932) ‘Christmas Pudding‘, UK first edition, first printing, published by Thornton Butterworth. Together with an original handwritten and signed letter by Nancy Mitford. Condition of the book: A near fine book without the dust jacket. Clean throughout without any previous owner’s scribbles, no bookplates, no stamps. No foxing; internally clean. Nicely preserved cloth boards. A lovely copy which would fetch a few thousands more with the dust jacket. The letter: one sheet, two pages; written on Mitford’s stationary bearing her Versailles address. Dated 9 Sept, 1968. Written to Brian Pearce, a linguist and academic who remained friends with Mitford until her death in 1973. In very good condition with light handling wear and usual central fold to fit an envelope.
