23 x 15 cm. 330 pp. Blue paper on board with faux vellum and gilt titles to spine cover: clean with abrasion to corners. Bookplate: 'Capt. Kenneth Rivington' to front pastedown. Two newspaper cuttings, Machen-related, laid in to FEP and further small clipping to half title. 933/1050 copies flat signed by author. Entirely clean throughout with A1 binding and rough cut page edges. First printing of Machen's Rabelaisian short stories following his translation of The Heptameron and in simlar mode.
