Superb, tight first edition of this thick chronicle of (to cite jacket front panel) "The Extraordinary Life of Eleanor Medill Patterson," the influential journalist and newspaper editor/publisher/owner (1881-1948). Signed boldly by Martin in black fineline on inner flyleaf. Journalist Martin (1920-2013) penned a large string of popular biographies of political, royalty and other figures. Laid in is the Kroch's & Brentano's "First Edition Circle" bookmark.
