A handsome copy to boot of the 1889 1st edition, including its large fold-out map ("Plan of the City of New York") at the frontispiece. Solid and VG+ in its navy-blue cloth, with the original paper title-label (with only 1 tiny chip) along the spine. A bit of very light rubbing as well at the rear panel, tasteful former owner bookplate to the front pastedown. Octavo, 244 pgs., impressive piece of late 18th century New York history, with the first presidential inauguartion as the backdrop.
