Robert Dunn (1799-1877) was a British surgeonHe studied at Guy's and St Thomas's Hospitals, and became licentiate of the Society of Apothecaries, a member and fellow of the Royal College of SurgeonsHe was a phrenologist and associated at the Westminster Medical Society with others (John S Streeter, Forbes Winslow and Edward Wright) He was Fellow of the Royal Medical and Chirurgical Society, along with the phrenologists Thomas Ignatius Maria Forster and Joseph Moore He was also Fellow of the Obstetrical Society, the Ethnological Society of London, and of the Medical Society of London; and was for many years treasurer to the metropolitan counties branch of the British Medical AssociationHe carried out research into human origins and racial diversity, but his main work involved language disorders and aphasiaThis is a near fine copy of an offprint of his article, with slight age darkening, but no other marks or damage There is a presentation inscription from the author at the top of the title page (see photo) 24 pp. Seller Inventory # AA1846
