Hardcover, mustard gold cloth spine without title, shows wear, no abrasions. Blue paper sides, worn paper title label. Covers show some fading, staining, corners good. Pages toned, but printing is fine and crisp. Paper is handmade, high rag content, without foxing, trimmed at top edge, deckled edges front and bottom. Slight foxing seen on front and rear pastedowns near top edge. Personal account by the boyhood friend of a WWI Italian war hero, member of the Royal Italian special forces, the Arditi, told in 29 pages.
