Edges and endpapers foxed, spine a bit discolored with minimal loss of gilt from titles, related materials laid in. 1944 Hard Cover. 59 pp. 16 black-and-white illustrations and 30 sketches by the author follow text, depicting numerous examples of cobblestone architecture. Numerous sketches throughout text as well. Schmidt was one of the foremost authors in this field in his time, and his works are still extremely useful because of their level of detail, and his ability to both write intelligently about, and capably draw examples of, the subject.
