Unusual copy inscribed and signed by Scott in blue ink and dated Thanksgiving Day 1962, in the inscription are the words "For" followed by the names of the couple to whom the book is inscribed and "this puppy-chewed copy-with love for him." And indeed the tips of the book have been gnawed by the puppy, otherwise the book is very good tight clean and unmarked with NO age toning, NO dust jacket, gilt lettering on spine of blue boards remains vivid and legible, gilt top edge of text block, stated first printing, with attached cloth bookmark ribbon.
