Signed first limited edition two volume hardback set (161/230) printed on hand-made paper, 1923, with individual slipcases and no dust jackets, as issued. In overall very good unread condition with only minor signs of age, handling and storage - slipcases rubbed and faded to spines and edges; cream buckram boards clean and crisp with a hint of toning to spines. Bindings tight and appear almost unopened. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions; upper page-ends gilt, text and illustrated frontispiece in each volume bright and clear throughout. Both books retain the original yellow satin page-marker. Photographs available. Not an old library book.
