In fine dust jacket, with original price intact "18s net" first issue without the blurbs on the rear cover. Slight foxing along the edges. Boldly signed in black ink on the title page "John Fowles." A major first novel and made into a movie with Terence Stamp and Samantha Eggar. A modern novel of terror. Housed in a custom-made slipcase. John Fowles signed this in my presence in 1996 when visiting and lecturing in Los Angeles. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
