Size 300mmX210mm. This work is an attempt to redress this shortfall in Australian history in general and particularly military history. I t covers the service of the 48th Regiment of Foot, the Horthamptonshire Regiment, which served in New South Wales from 1817 to 1824. The selection of this regiment arose from a personal interest in the Peninsular War where the Northamptons had campaigned under the Duke of Wellington. The 48th was the first of the veteran Peninsular regiments to serve in Australia. Seller Inventory # 002668
