First edition, 1877. Presentation from the author as follows "To Miranda from fer affectionate sister Octavia, Christmas 1881". On the title page. Another inscription on the title page as follows "Fred Hill given by express desire of Miranda Hill, 1910". Publishers burgundy cloth rubbed and frayed at the top and bottom of spine and corners, slight uneven fading to the rear cover and one or two slight marks. Still generally a very good copy. Very interesting association copy and unique as such.
