First Revised Edition. Originally published in 1928 in a two-volume edition, this is the Revised Edition of 1931, with an Introduction by Lewis Galantiere. A Fine copy in dark brown smooth cloth stamped in black, brown topstain, fore-edge untrimmed, lacking the dustwrapper. (Slight spotting to top edge.) 316pp. English only. This copy is INSCRIBED by Nicolson on the free front endpaper to a relative (no date). Nicolson was something of a versatile writer, publishing poetry, genre fiction, as well as important editions of Chaucer and other classic authors. Q17167.
