About this Item
SIGNED. [92pp] Quarto [29 cm] Blue cloth covered boards with decorative silver ink stamped titles and designs on the spine and front cover. The cloth is rubbed and a bit frayed at the spine ends and the corners of the covers, and the pages are darkened. The front hinge is just a tad weak. Illustrated with twenty-three stunning works by John Vassos, an artist who played a major role in promoting the Art Deco style in advertising art and book illustration. In Contempo, Vassos portrays the dehumanizing effects of the machine age. Inscribed by Vassos on the half title page. Seller Inventory # 61252
