Cullen's second book of poetry, which met with some controversy in the black community because Cullen did not give the same attention to the subject of race he had given it in his first collection, Color. Art deco illustrations by Charles Cullen, the author's brother. Inscribed by Cullen with a line from the poem "Song Of The Rejected Lover," signed "Your Buddy" (but inscription handwriting is verified). Very good book with rubbing to front panel and light wear to the edges of boards, in very good or better dustjacket (also illustrated by Charles Cullen), with moderately toned spine panel and only minor edgewear.
