From the estate of Norman Hazell. Norman Hazell was a notable figure in local politics, serving as a councillor for Wakefield South and leading the Tory opposition group for eight years. He also ran for Parliamentary seats in Wakefield and Hemsworth during the 1980s and 1996, respectively. After leaving the Tory party in 2001, he continued as an independent councillor until 2006 and was awarded the MBE in 1988 for his community service. In his personal life, he enjoyed collecting books and corresponding with authors to obtain signed labels, along with related newspaper articles. Inscribed on the title page. The book is tightly bound; clean and bright throughout. The dust jacket is complete, light wear to the extremities; unclipped showing £25. Numerous monochrome illustrations.
