'Unabridged republication' (lower wrapper) of the 2 short stories featuring the famed opponent of 1930's-style underworld figures (originally issued in 1936 and 1937 respectively). Introductory essays by Gibson ('My Years with The Shadow') and John L. Nanovic ('I Never Called Him Bill'); includes a few bibliographical references. Boldly signed and inscribed by Gibson in red ink on first preliminary page: 'To Larry B. Kenyon from 'The Shadow' and Walter B Gibson (alias Maxwell Grant) 7 - 12 - 75 [small paraph]'.22 b/w Illustrations.
