Spine has orange text and is a little faded with firm ends. Binding is strong. Illustrated end papers/ pastedowns show little to no sign of age or wear. Signed and inscribed, with a little drawing, on the fep facing the title page. See photos. Illustrations are bright and clear. Interior exhibits minimal signs of age and wear. Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks. DJ looks great behind Mylar and is backed with archival paper. Close examination of DJ reveals light edgewear including possible bumps, rubbing, and/or tiny closed tears, some sunning of spine strip, some spotting. Condition is truly Very Good Plus+.** Hans Augusto Rey (1898-1977) and Margret Rey (1906-1996) created Curious George in 1939, before fleeing occupied Paris in 1940. They settled in New York City, where they wrote a series of children's books relaying the adventures and escapades of George the monkey. This title, the seventh in the series, was written in conjunction with the Children's Hospital Medical Center, Boston.** The Reys inscribed this copy to Dr. George Packer Berry (1898-1986) with thanks and best wishes. Berry, an American physician and medical educator, served as dean of Harvard Medical School from 1949 to 1965.
