1st Printing. Signed. 335 pages. Published in 2003. The author's debut novel. Now considered a contemporary classic. The First Hardcover Edition. Precedes and should not be confused with the Softcover Edition. Published in a small and limited first print run as a hardcover original only. The First Edition is now scarce. Presents Ayelet Waldman's "Daughter's Keeper". Her first serious novel. After the considerable success of her Mommy-Track Mystery Series, Waldman writes a real, powerful novel that tackles economics, the law, social mores, and how human beings' natural tendencies interact with and counteract one another. "Waldman's passion and affection for her characters shines through" (Publishers Weekly). An absolute "must-have" title for Ayelet Waldman collectors. This copy is very prominently and beautifully signed in black ink-pen on the title page by Ayelet Waldman. It is signed directly on the page itself, not on a tipped-in page. This title is a contemporary classic. This is one of few such signed copies of the First Hardcover Edition/First Printing still available online and is in especially fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright. Please note: Copies available online have serious flaws, are subsequent printings, or are remainder-marked. This is surely an accessible and lovely alternative. A scarce signed copy thus. One of the most brilliant American writers of our time. A fine copy. (SEE ALSO OTHER AYELETE WALDMAN TITLES IN OUR CATALOG) ISBN 140220096X.…
