Uncorrected Page Proofs of the paperback original published in 1987. Later re-issued in 1993 in a hardcover by Doubleday. A NEAR FINE copy (fade to spine)in wraps with letter on Bantam letterhead from an editor to a mystery bookshop ("Grounds For Murder") owner dated Oct. 1986 laid in. The letter states the proof copy is being sent to the bookshop proprietor at the author's special request. Book was published in February 1987.The proof is SIGNED by the author on the title page. The first mystery in the series about Annie Laurence, the proprietress of the "Death on Demand" mystery bookstore on Broward¿s Rock Island, S.C., who holds a weekly meeting of mystery writers called ¿The Sunday Night Regulars¿ which doesn¿t turn out as planned when one of the authors is murdered.SCARCE SIGNED and in this FORMAT.
