DOUBLE BLIND - Scarce Pristine Autographed Copy of The First Hardcover Edition/First Printing: Signed by Edward St. Aubyn - SIGNED ON THE TITLE PAGE

1st Printing. Signed. 239 pages. Published in 2021. The author's tenth novel. One of Edward St. Aubyn's finest achievements. The First Hardcover Edition. Precedes and should not be confused with all other subsequent editions, particularly the American Edition. Published in a small and limited first print run by Harvill Secker as a hardcover original only. Publisher's round black "Signed Copy" sticker pasted in front. Presents, in its Signed First Edition format, Edward St. Aubyn's "Double Blind". A brilliant pun on the "double bind" concept. This is the fullest development of the author's ongoing exploration of the closely intertwined themes of consciousness and knowledge, determinism and free will, art and science, narrated as a literary "social realist" novel with vibrant characters, the genre's highest form, of which Edward St. Aubyn is an undisputed Master. St. Aubyn also deserves credit for continually reminding us that literature is NOT a social event that people could carry out and discuss on social media, for example, as many aspiring writers now do, but an intense and private conversation between one intelligence (the writer) and another (the reader). "Our purest living prose stylist" (The Guardian). An absolute "must-have" title for Edward St. Aubyn collectors. This Autographed Copy is very prominently, neatly, and beautifully signed in black ink-pen on the title page by Edward St. Aubyn. It is signed directly on the page itself, not on a tipped-in page even though it comes from the publisher. This title is a contemporary classic. This is one of very few such title-page signed copies of the First Hardcover Edition/First Printing still available online and is in especially fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright. Please note: Precedes and should NOT be confused with the American Edition. A scarce signed copy thus. One of the most brilliant novelists of our time. A fine copy. (SEE ALSO OTHER EDWARD ST.
