Go behind the lens of one of the most influential music photographers of the modern era―featuring a foreword by Bruce Springsteen.
Danny Clinch is an insider who has earned the trust of the world’s most iconic musicians.
In Still Moving, Clinch presents a career-spanning collection of his most famous work, from gritty backstage portraits to legendary live performances that defined an era of rock, hip-hop, and blues.
Why this volume is a must-have for music fans:
- The Ultimate All-Access Pass: See the intimate, unposed moments of icons like Bruce Springsteen, Tupac Shakur, Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam, and Jay-Z.
- A Masterclass in Portraiture: Known for his use of natural light and film, Clinch’s work offers a raw, authentic look at fame that digital photography rarely captures.
- Prestige Production: This book features heavy-stock paper and high-fidelity printing, making it a centerpiece for any home library or music room.
- Stories from the Field: Accompanied by Clinch's own reflections, these images provide the context and "how it happened" stories behind some of the most famous album covers and magazine spreads in history.
Whether you’re a photography enthusiast or a die-hard music fan, Still Moving is a definitive visual record of the legends who shaped the soundtrack of our lives.
“‘Soul’ is an overused word, but damned if that’s not what Danny Clinch has made a name documenting. And because of it, many of Danny Clinch’s pictures have become the images you associate with those musicians when you hear their names.” ―Esquire

About the Author
Danny Clinch doesn’t just photograph musicians; he documents the soul of modern music history. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has established himself as one of the most trusted photographers in the industry, moving seamlessly from the tour bus to the Grammy stage to capture the moments others miss.
Known for his unposed authenticity and high-contrast documentary grit, Clinch has created some of the most iconic portraits of our time. His lens has captured the quiet intensity of Johnny Cash, the raw energy of Tupac Shakur, and the rebellious spirit of Pearl Jam. His long-standing collaboration with Bruce Springsteen―who provided the foreword for Still Moving―is a testament to the absolute trust he builds with his subjects.
Clinch’s work is a staple of Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, and The New Yorker, and his monographs are considered essential archives for music lovers and photography collectors alike. Whether shooting in a gritty backstage hallway or a high-definition studio, his images remain a "class history" of the sounds that defined the 20th and 21st centuries.
When he isn’t behind the camera, Clinch is a director and a musician himself, often found playing harmonica with many of the legendary artists he has spent his life documenting.
