Hardback in the original cloth, gilt titling to spine and upper board. 19 � 12.5cm, 160pp. Inscribed to the title page by the author, "Gertrude Handley, with my love 25/11/25". The autobiography of actress Violet Vanbrugh from her early days with Henry Irving and Ellen Terry at the Lyceum Theatre, and with August Daly, and also her observations on life (manners, good habits etc). Illustrated with a frontispiece portrait. Condition: Good condition. There is a small mark to the upper board, and the inner binding is a little pulled in places (but still secure).
