Octavo; publisher's cloth in pictorial dust jacket retaining original price ($3.00);307pp. Heavy tape repair and edge reinforcement to jacket -- formerly split along at least a couple folds -- with tape mostly to interior but with some external along back panel and flap and at head of spine. Large chip to jacket at top corner near spine, with scuffs along edges, remnants of repaired tears and adjacent creases, and some general scuffs and smudges to surface. Boards a bit edgeworn with a few light scuffs to cloth. Toning and glue residue on endpapers. Accession plate for the Army Medical Library's Staff Library, dated 11/3/50, on front pastedown, with no other institutional markings or additions. Smudges to edges of textblock, but interior unmarked.Signed by Vidal without inscription on full title. A Good or better copy. Seller Inventory # 12691

Hardcover. First Edition. Octavo, 307, [1] pages. In Very Good minus condition with a Good plus condition dust jacket. Black and green faded to grey spine with red and white lettering. Dust jacket is wrapped in a mylar covering, price is uncut "$3.00", has moderate shelving wear, small open tears along the extremities, chipping along the joints and fore edges, stains on the rear cover, and moderate age-toning throughout. Boards have mild wear along the head and tail edges, moderate age-toning along the extremities, and mild bending wear along the spine head and tail edges. Textblock has mild bending wear along the head fore corners of pages 293-296, stains on the end-pages and pastedowns, mild wear along the edges, and light foxing along the edges.
