Condition: G in Fair DJ (signed). Reprint. Signed by von Rintelen 1940. At the outbreak of the war, von Rintelen was on the Naval War Staff in Berlin. In 1915 he went to the U.S. on a secret mission to prevent by sabotage, by fomenting strikes, by using explosives, coercion or bribery, the shipment of munitions to the Allies, as well as other activities. He served 4 years of hard lababor in an Atlanta prison. This is an account of the many political events in Europe from 1921 on revealed first hand from the principal figures involved through the Captain's intimate and personal associations.
