index, 384p. Original cloth backed boards. dj. 21 cm. Bookplate ("Community Church of New York Library Gift of Anna and Thomas O. Johnson") mounted on front pastedown. A Community Church library label is firmly affixed toward base of backstrip on both jacket and book. Front free endpaper has a gift inscription to Mr. Johnson from "Lambkins" and is also INSCRIBED by Du Bois ("To Anna and Tom Johnson with appreciation Shirley Graham Du Bois"). The Johnsons were African Americans living in Harlem where Dr. Johnson was a dentist. "Lambkins" was probably Anna Johnson. Seller Inventory # 90870
