A very smart first edition of the second Warshawski novel from Paretsky, signed by the author. First edition. Signed by the author to the title page with the inscription "Penny, with good wishes." When Warshawski visits the Chicago port to investigate her cousin's death after the police rule it an accident, she needs to find some strong evidence to prove her suspicions that this was a murder. Written by Sara Paretsky, an American author best known for her detective fiction and the creation of the character V. I. Warshawski. In the original quarter cloth binding with blue paper covered boards. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear and the odd mark to the board.
