Deadly Deception

Battling his desire to continue an affair, third-generation trial attorney, Harvard graduate, and former golden boy from the district attorney's office Drew Quinlin revisits Joy Dawson's private chalet to end the relationship. But when Joy objects, the situation spins wildly out of control. After a horrifying accident, Drew is drawn into the biggest case of his legal career. The suspect and the one ultimately charged in Joy's death is her husband, Dr. Rolland J. Dawson, who hires Drew because of his high-profile cases and success rate. Although conviction would dispel any alternate suspect notion, Drew is driven by forces beyond human comprehension to win an acquittal. Everywhere Drew turns he sees Joy's piercing turquoise eyes, haunting his dreams. Guilt ridden by the irreparable damage he's caused, Drew seeks to live up to the expectations of his wife, his co-counsel, and Rolland, the grieving husband who's lost not only his wife but his career as a prominent orthopedic surgeon. Drew hopes earning an acquittal for Rolland will appease his tortured conscience. But will that be enough? Or will judgment come before he can atone for his crime? Uncover the mystery in Carroll Multz's thrilling tale of passion and deceit, redemption and reconciliation, Deadly Deception.
