Add to basket199 pages, illustrated, a biography of Andrew Stoddart who played 16 Test matches for England, toured Australia four times as a cricketer and once for rugby, a leading batsman of the late 19th century but who had the misfortune of playing in the shadow of WG. His life and career eventually now put into perspective and history by the inestimable Frith who has (flat) SIGNED this copy on the title page. It is marked as one of the "Limited private edition of 400 copies" though it is not allocated a particular number. Dark blue cover bumped at corners, at spine and along top edge; occasional light mark internally but generally very clean and tidy; light marks at top of rear free end paper which run decreasingly forward for five pages, caused by a mark to the top edge of the page edges. Jacket is worn, nicked internally untidy along top 1 cm with major mark at top of front flap; light markings externally otherwise; some wear along lower edge, esp around rear flap, both externally and internally; but, for all that, major part of front - title, illustration and author's name - has remained bright.
