Overall an Excellent tight clean crisp hardcover. Graded as NEAR Fine Only due to the usual light toning/aging of the page fore-edges, all due to the cheaper paper used for mass market fiction - here pretty negligible. Otherwise Book in Fine condition, no other inscriptions, no bumps or wear, in a tight bright unclipped tear-free dust-jacket. Dust-jacket is protected in a clear removable book film cover. In FINE black cloth boards with bright gilt titling to the spine, in the original fine pictorial dust-jacket. 1st Edition/1st Printing with full correct numberline 2 4 6 8 10 9 7 5 3 1. SIGNED, and inscribed with a QUOTE FROM THE BOOK, by the AUTHOR. Gaius Valerius Verrens returns to Rome from the successful campaign against Boudicca in Britain.
