361pp. 6.7 inches. Leather dark green-black corners and spine with gilt bands and author's name, rubbed to extremities and folds, mauve textured boards, patchy. Front hinge starting slightly. No date, estimate mid-nineteenth century. Internally just ordinary white epp, owner's name and notes on Demosthenes on fep, the facing ep has this one - "The Earl of Portsmouth, Eggesford" in handwriting. (Eggesford is indeed home to the Chichester family, the Earls of Portsmouth.) Pages neat, clean of annotation, tight, but very heavily foxed in some areas, including the titlepage. Text in Greek, with a Praefatio in Latin. Section and line numbering.
