Edges of spine are separated from covers but still holding. Moderate to heavy shelf wear. Taped to front pastedown is a typed signed letter to a friend, dated May 29, 1974. In the letter signed "Patty', Boyle talks about her involvement in the civil rights movement from the and why she retired from it. (She was involved from the early 1950's to 1966) Her current attention is to the elderly Americans and the paralells between them and the black Americans.
