Number 49 of 200 "proof" copies, signed by the author and artist (with a colophon substituting the half-title). 12 illustrations from wood-engravings by Eric Gill. Canvas-backed pictorial red paper boards, lettered up the spine. A very good bright copy. Printed at the Westminster Press. Not counted by Taylor & Sewell as a Saint Dominic's Press production, though frequently associated with that Press. 1500 copies were printed in total. Pepler has actually numbered this copy twice, having thought that his first attempt looked a bit like '64'. He has added his initials to the correction. (Gill 259).

All items listed are offered at nett sterling prices for cash upon receipt. Postage and insurance for books in transit are extra, and new customers may be requested to pay against pro forma invoices. Cheques should be made payable to "Collinge & Clark". With respect to condition, every effort has been made to collate and describe the books accurately, but satisfaction is of course guaranteed. This means that any any book may be returned if it does not come up to expectations. The conditions being that any return must be made within a reasonable time after the receipt of the book or books, and that in such a case responsibility for safe return will rest with the customer. Unless otherwise requested, overseas orders will be sent by "Printed Papers Air Mail" or "Small Packet Air Mail" and postage duly charged. Payment may be made by personal cheque in sterling (£), or by Access, Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
