The odd slight mark to covers, including some surface scratches to upper board of volume VI. A very good, bright set. §Loosely inserted are three Autograph Letters Signed, dated between 1958 & 1960, from the editor Esmond S. de Beer to Jack [-----], an unidentified scholarly recipient, several times inviting him to a dinner of The Johnson Club, and on one occasion commenting "I have to work on the letters of a dreadful Frenchman - which merely means that the handwriting is execrable".
