Both volumes small 4to. Double Image: Pp. 45. Frontis. engraved photo portrait. Handmade paper tissue guard. Bound in half black cloth with handmade Japanese paper covering two-thirds of the front board. Printed label on spine. / The Token: Unpaginated. Bound in matching handmade wraps, title printed on front cover. Housed in a folding three-panel Chinese-style chemise with clasps. Of an edition limited to 26 lettered sets, these are both hand-lettered copy Y. Both volumes are signed by Levertov on the title page; Double Image is additionally signed by Sam and Sally Green at the colophon. Since 1984 Sam and Sally Green have operated Brooding Heron Press on Waldron Island, one of the northernmost islands of the San Juan Island archipelago in Washington State. Donald Hall, Tim McNulty, Ted Kooser, Robert Sund, and Jane Hirshfield are among the prominent poets published by the press. In addition to operating the press, both Greens are poets; Sam Green served as Washington State's first Poet Laureate.
