With four aquatint illustrations by African-American artist John Wilson, printed at the Center Street Studio in Milton Massachusetts by Jim Stroud. Binding of dark blue linen cloth with black titling embossed on front cover. Matching full blue linen cloth clamshell box with titling blind-stamped into spine. Down by the Riverside was one of the highlights in Wright's seminal 1938 collection Uncle Tom's Children.
