Inscribed and signed by Dr. Seuss on the free front endpaper verso. Volume in Good+ to VG- condition with heavy shelf wear, edge wear, and soiling to boards. corners and hinges are worn through the laminated paper showing the cardboard beneath. About half a dozen pages and the rear endpaper have some white crayon markings. No jacket. Volume meets all criteria for a first edition as described by Younger and Hirsch's "First Editions of Dr. Seuss Books". Seller Inventory # 000975
