Contents tight, bright and clean, with just a speckling of foxing to prelims and enpapers, some light dust spots to text block edges. No dustwrapper. Front pastedown has attractive library label of noted ornithologist, K.E.L. Simmons, with image of muscal passage below crested grebes- birds of which he made a particular study. The ffep is SIGNED and dated for him in Jan. 1982 by the author. The North American British Musical Studies Association awards the biennial Diana McVeagh Prize for Best Book on British Music - named after her, as: "Her books are known for their insightful interpretations of music and its context, and the lyrical quality of her prose" FREE p&p within the U.K. Buyers from outside the U.K. will be quoted Shipping cost prior to purchasing.
