First edition. Signed, dated, and inscribed by Delany on the title page. Mass-market paperback (6.5 x 4.25 in.), 142pp. A very good (+) copy, with a slight spine twist and a few light creases to the spine and front cover hinge (binding remains strong and secure). A retelling of sorts of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, in which a member of an alien race now residing on Earth searches for lost love while attempting to parse the cultural legacy of the long-extinct human beings. Winner of the 1967 Nebula Award for Best Novel and a finalist for the 1968 Hugo Award. Cover art by Jack Gaughan.

Shipping Terms

All books ship free with tracking to domestic addresses via USPS Media Mail. In most cases, delivery takes place within a three to ten day window, although the vicissitudes of USPS may apply. Unless otherwise requested, expedited domestic purchases ship via USPS Priority Mail; overseas orders via USPS First Class International. Heavy or oversized books may incur additional shipping charges, as may books shipped to overseas destinations. Any additional charges required will be communicated promptly.

We take safe shipping very seriously; all of our books are packaged in new cardboard boxes amply cushioned with biodegradable packing peanuts.
