First edition, hardcover in full red cloth with top edge gilt, signed by Benson & Carey, and marked no. 36/100 on the colophon, the book has strong sunning to the spine with lighter toning to the head, slight yellowing to the text block, foxing to the tail of the text block with a touch to the fore edge and to some pages, an area of dried adhesive to the front fly leaf with its ghost on the pastedown, and a diagonal crease near the upper corner of a few early pages. Overall, a solid, tight, Near Very Good copy with unmarked text. Seller Inventory # 208418
