First edition, signed by the author to the title page. Near fine. A scarce signed copy of the author's first novel, published when she was still a university student and written when she was just 16 years old. Book is square and firm, with no reading lean. All four corners remain very sharp and are not pushed. Bottom of spine lightly pushed, spine tip still firm. Black cloth boards very clean and unmarked bar a small white patch to bottom edge; no bumps. Clean text block. Internally very clean; lightest of foxing to rear endpapers, otherwise totally clean pages. The dust-jacket has one small 0.5cm closed edge tear to the bottom edge of the rear panel; tiny nicks to bottom of spine, otherwise very clean and presents very handsomely, with an un-sunned spine and the photo of the author to the rear panel.
